Don’t forget to get my SVG file in the library or customize your own.

I started out by painting my 14″ wood round with the white Waverly chalk paint on both sides and the rim.

While the blank was drying I used my Cricut machine to cut out my design, weeded and placed it on my transfer tape.  I placed the letter “B” on the round first leaving as much room at the top as possible.  Next, I placed the “Welcome to our home” decal in the middle of the letter, trying to center de design.  I burnished both pieces and slowly removed the transfer tape.

In order to dress up the round, I took a eucalyptus stem and cut four pieces about 4″ long and four pieces about 4″ long of a lavender stem.  Then, I stapled the stem pieces as close to the middle as possible leaving the outside pieces stick out on the outside of the round.  In order to cover up the staples, I wrapped a piece of raffia around my hand four times, made a bow, and stapled it in place.

In order to create a hanger for the wood round I cut a 6″ piece of twine, folded it in half, and stapled the ends to the middle top of the back side of my wood round.

Make a 2 Tier Tray

I am in love with tier trays; small ones, big ones, square, or round.  Not only are they super cute but creating a display with them is is unique.  Not to mention the fact that these babies are great at saving space on the table, just in case you need to.  Somehow, our holiday table always needs more room.  So of course when I saw a pin with a wooden tier tray I quickly realized that I can recreate it with just a few items from Dollar Tree.  There are just a few items you need for this project so check out the list below.

TOOLS & SUPPLIES

– Hot Glue Gun

– E6000

– 15.5″ White Plate

– Two 6″ White Stoneware Bowls

– 7.5″ White Salad Plate

– Permanent Vinyl

Two Tier Tray Supplies

Step 1

We are starting with the bowl, turn it over and squeeze E6000 around the edge.  Apply the hot glue around the edge to temporarily hold it in place.

Hot Glue and E6000

Step 2

Place the dinner plate on top of the bowl trying your best to center both to create the first tier.  ( tip: you can turn the plate up side down and place the bowl glue side down onto the plate, this may be easier to center both pieces)

Step 3

Take the second bowl and squeeze the E6000 and hot glue onto the rim and place glue it down onto the first part of your tier tray (try to center the bowl on the plate).

Step 4

Squeeze the E6000 and hot glue on the bottom of the second bowl.

Step 5

Place the salad bowl on top of the almost finished tiered tray.

Step 6

Place your vinyl decal in the center of your top late.

No Sew Fabric Ornament

Everyone loves personalized ornaments.  Have you ever wondered how some of the ornaments with your favorite fabric pattern are made?   No need to guess.  Lets’ make some today just in time for the holiday season.  These beauties are perfect for displaying on the tree, hung on the mantel, or even attached to the gifts as a special addition to the decoration.

Supplies Needed:

Ornament Disks
– Fabric of your choice
Jute twine
Hot glue
Mod Podge
– Ribbon
Pipe Cleaners

Clear Ornament Disc

 Tools Needed:

Hot Glue Gun
Scissors
– Brush for Mod Podge

Wireless Hot Glue Gun

These little beauties are so easy and fun to make.

Step 1

Start with the ornament and remove the top part of it.

Lay out your fabric and place your ornament on top of it.

Cut the fabric around the ornament making sure you have enough to cover all sides. If the fabric has a pattern or image you wish to display, make sure to adjust it before cutting to achieve the desired results.

You will need 2 fabric sheets, one for each side.

Step 2

Take your mod podge and brush it evenly onto one side of your ornament. You might have to work somewhat quickly with the mod podge because your edges will dry out quickly.

Place your first piece of material onto the mod podge side of your ornament. Starting from the middle of the ornament gently press the fabric outward.

Step 3

Make sure to roll out any wrinkles that may appear. The fabric will be more forgiving when wet. If your mod podge has dried out just reapply another thin coat in those areas. Once completed, repeat the process on the other side.

Step 4

Your edges will stick out a bit, add some more mod podge to the sides and try to completely cover the surface of your ornament.

Step 5

Then trim the excess.  This may be the tricky part but then again, it is a fabric no sew ornament.

Step 6

Starting from the very top of your ornament start hot gluing your jute twine to the edge, try to cover up the portion where the fabric meets or did not quite make it. Go all the way around cut the twine.

Step 7

You can put your cap piece back on.  Your fabric ornament is almost done.

Step 8

Cut about a 5” piece of twine and tie it onto your ornament as a hanger.

Step 9

Now take your ribbon and cut about 9” long piece.

Step 10

Fold it in three, pinch the middle of the folded ribbon and tie it with a pipe cleaner and connect the bow to the front of your ornament with the rest of the pipe cleaner.

Congratulations, you have successfully made your mod podge fabric ornament. The only step you have left is to enjoy your creation and possibly repeat this process to make personalized memories. You can involve your kids and other family members in this craft project. Let them feel the thrill of accomplishing something so beautiful yet, simple.

Have fun 😊
